Played on the old course at St. Andrews Scotland.  Zach Johnson (United States) won in a 4 hole playoff over Marc Leishman (Australia) and Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa.
Due to bad weather this was the first Open Championship to finish on a Monday since 1988.

2016 Stanley Cup Champions


June 12th 2016 - The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the San Jose Sharks 4 games 2 to win the Stanley Cup championship.  This is the fourth Stanley Cup for the Penguins franchise and the first since 2009.

Sidney Crosby (Penguin Captain) was named Conn Smythe Trophy winner as playoff MVP.




2016 Belmont Stakes



Creator with Irad Ortiz Jr as jockey wins the 148th running of the Belmont Stakes.  He nosed out Destin and Lani (JPN) finished in 3rd.

2003 Stanley Cup Final

The New Jersey Devils won the Stanley Cup after defeating the Anaheim Mighty Ducks 4 games to 3. Martin Brodeur (New Jersey Devils) became the first goaltender to produce 7 playoff shutouts in a single-season. 


Anaheim goalie J.S. Giguere wins the Conn Smythe trophy as playoff MVP, becoming only the fifth player, and fourth goaltender, in NHL history to have won the trophy as a member of the losing team.

2000 US Open Golf Tournament

100th US Open Golf Tournament
June 18th 2000
Pebble Beach, CA

Tiger Woods destroys the course and the competition with a 12 under par to win the first of his 3 US Open titles.
No other golfer finished the tournament under par and 2nd place was a tie between Ernie Els and Miguel Angel Jiminez at +3.

The New York Yankees defeated the New York Mets in a "Subway Series" to win their 3rd consecutive Series.  They were the first team to have a "3-peat" as world champions since the Oakland A's of 1972-73-74.
